מבואסים מהאפרטהייד? תעמדו בתור

התור המשתרך מול משרדי משרד הפנים במזרח ירושלים הוא דוגמר מובהקת לאפליה הממוסדת וההטרדה של תושבי מזרח העיר ע"י המשטרה והרשויות - מה שנקרא בעברית אפרטהייד. הוצאת דרכון, רישום לידת ילד, נישואין ופטירה של קרובים - פרוצדורות פשוטות שיהודים לוקחים כמובנות מאילהן - נגררות על פני חודשים, ולעתים שנים, בגלל סחבת מכוונת.

אמרו לא לטרנספר הזוחל.

Sick of the Apartheid? Stand in line

Nothing could exemplify the institutional discrimination of the residents of East Jerusalem and the daily harassment they must endure better than the long queue that forms daily in front of the Ministry of the Interior's East Jerusalem offices. Simple procedures that are taken for granted by the city's Jewish residents - such as the granting of a passpors, or the registration of marriages, births and deaths - are dragged on purpose by the authorities for months, sometimes years.
